Product design is one of the key elements in a successful business strategy. It determines the appearance, functionality and usability of the system, as well as its competitiveness in the market.
Let's delve deeper into the importance of UI/UX design and how a cohesive and easily recognizable concept is created.
Definition of web design
Before we begin, let's understand what is web design in general?
Web design is the process of creating and organizing the look and feel of a project to ensure it is easy to navigate and provides a positive user experience. It includes the choice of color palette, layout of elements, fonts, etc. Which greatly helps to create both an aesthetically pleasing and intuitive product.
What is UI/UX?
UI/UX - is not just design, it is the science of how to make a product convenient and attractive for users. Good UI/UX design can increase sales, improve the company's reputation and attract new customers.
It helps in creating a product that will fulfill the needs and expectations of the users and also increase the competitiveness of the company in the market.
UI (User Interface) is responsible for the visual part of the project.
Includes: color scheme, typography, icons and other design elements.
Let's highlight the main tasks that the UI part covers:
- Creating an attractive and aesthetically pleasing design that will match the company's brand and capture the user's attention.
- Ensuring that the product is compatible across devices and platforms so that users can use it on any device.
- Creating a responsive system so that the user instantly gets the response of elements to an impact, and understands what process has been triggered.
UX (User Experience) is responsible for the technical part: conducting research and analyzing how the user feels from interactions with the product: usability, interface clarity, simplicity and logical navigation.
Also a number of tasks that the UX part solves:
- Research the needs and expectations of users, to best and pinpoint the right CA.
- Focusing on analyzing visitor interactions and user satisfaction.
- Creating a clear product structure so that users can quickly find the information they need.
- Ensuring a pleasant and comfortable interaction with the product, through a well-designed and easy user journey.
Good UI/UX design helps to create a product that is user-friendly and enjoyable to use, and meets the needs and expectations of users.
How are project designs created?
After you and I have discussed the general concepts and the importance of design for a product, let's talk a little bit about our design process.
1. familiarization with the TOR and competitor analysis
Before starting work on the layout itself, there is a stage of familiarization with the received TOR, which outlines all the necessary requirements for functionality, roles, wishes - which must be taken into account. After that, the existing competitors are analyzed to better understand the specifics of the business.
2. Creating a project map
After studying the requirements, we create a design in Mind Map, in which we scrutinize the user journey of the project and think about how people will interact with the product.
3. Prototype development
The next step is to start developing the prototype. At this stage, the entire structure, usability and logic of the required functionality is thought out so that the user can easily navigate the system in the future.
4. Coordination with the customer
When the prototype is ready, our project manager presents it to customers, collects feedback, and makes the necessary adjustments. This stage is very important in the creation of design layouts, as we strive to create a product that will fully cover the client's needs and meet their expectations.
5. Creating a design
Next, UI-design comes into play. At this stage, the visual concept is thought out: color combination, fonts, selection of icons and illustrations. Everything is done to make the product as attractive as possible, of course focusing on the references provided by the customer.
This step is also being agreed upon.
6. Preparation of layout for developers
In order to make it convenient for developers to work with the layout, it is important to prepare it correctly: to divide the screens into modules, to put the order on the pages, to prepare UI kit - in which all the elements (components) used, button states, icons and pictures used will be collected.
And once these steps are completed - we hand over the design layouts for development.
The entire project design process involves: careful planning, collaboration and attention to detail. After all, we strive to create an interface design that is aesthetically pleasing, consistent with the brand or project concept.
Conclusion
Good design helps improve user experience, increase conversions and strengthen your brand. And understanding the importance of design will allow you to create a strong and competitive product for your company.
